WHAT IS SEPTO?
If your Child.....
- has an IEP or a 504 plan
- is in a special education class
- gets “building level services” such as speech, OT, PT, “lunch bunch,” or RTI
- has ever needed the help of a school psychologist or social worker
- has severe allergies or other medical condition, or
- has to or has ever had to miss extended class time due to an injury or illness

Who we are...
Katonah-Lewisboro Special Education PTO (SEPTO) is a district-wide parent-teacher organization created for the specific purpose of providing information and support to parents of children of all ages, elementary through high school, with learning differences and special needs.
We are a welcoming community of parents who support each other in this journey we share of raising a child with unique educational needs.
What we do...
- We are your voice to the district and our board members, with whom we meet regularly through Parent Council meetings and one-on-one meetings with our Director of Special Services.
- We host monthy parent and caregiver meetings.
- We host SEPTO meetings with speakers and topics of interest to the wider KLSD community.
- We keep our members informed of related events hosted outside our school district.
- We host a private Facebook group called "Katonah Lewisboro SEPTO Parents" (for parents and caregivers of children who receive services in our district) and "Katonah-Lewisboro Special Education PTO" (for parents, staff, practioners, and anyone interested in special education in our district).
- We work with the Office of Special Services to bring valuable programs to our schools.
